College football is known for its intense rivalry, and the Oregon Ducks and Oregon Beavers have a history of intense rivalry. The rivalry took an ugly turn in one final game when the Ducks’ LB closed. DJ Johnson He couldn’t control his anger and after losing to the Beavers decided to take a hand at a random fan.
The Ducks lost to the Beavers in a tightly contested game that was often one-sided, as the Ducks lost a 17-point lead and later lost the match 38-34.
Tensions escalated when Johnson left the field after the game and allegedly decided to shake the hand or wave at a Beaver fan. This resulted in Ducks LB being punched in the back of the head before being pulled backwards.
The incident occurred due to frustration and could have been avoided. Johnson must have felt offended by the fan’s actions and felt provoked.
Although there are no excuses for violence and LB will have to deal with the consequences, if any. The University of Oregon and Johnson have not yet made a statement on the matter.
The video instantly went viral on social media, and Johnson was met with a lot of hate and criticism. Some even demanded: ducks LB should be arrested for assault.

DJ Johnson is a college senior with a pretty average game against the Beavers, as the LB sack has 3 steals with no tackles or drop-offs.
The California-born LB was ridiculed on NFL Twitter for his violent outburst, and people demanded serious action from officials responsible for player discipline.
This isn’t the first time a violent explosion has occurred in college football. There seems to be a pattern of such events that can be observed.
NFL Twitter demanded an immediate suspension, and even comments were made about Johnson’s arrest, which is unlikely. Twitter has been flooded with incredible reactions and high-quality memes, check out some of them below.
