Rodgers claimed earlier in the program that he was allergic to polyethylene glycol (PEG), so the Centers for Disease Control advised him not to get mRNA vaccines.
Many believed he was allergic to PEG when Rodgers said he couldn’t get the mRNA Covid vaccines last season after a positive Covid test that prevented him from playing against the Kansas City Chiefs.
The NFL’s response to Rodgers’ 2021 “vaccinated” appeal was likely that he could get the J&J vaccine despite his PEG allergy, as the immunization pause was lifted on April 23 of that year.
But according to Rodgers, his teammates and the team as a whole have been “forced” by the league and their general manager to increase vaccination rates. Seven to ten of Rodgers’ colleagues were unvaccinated last season, he said at various points throughout the podcast.
