Marquise Hollywood Brown was traded to the Arizona Cardinals for the 23rd pick and a third-round player in the 2022 NFL draft. Initially, Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson was infuriated with the trade for getting another one of his team guns, but Brown was plagued with injuries and was unavailable for much of last season.
Still, Hollywood Brown is optimistic about his new role as Arizona Cardinal. “It’s not about the goals, it’s about the type of goals… I made a full-focus attack… I’m excited to be able to make one-on-one matches and spread out on the field.”
Hollywood Brown believes he can be successful as he will get so many one-on-one opportunities in Arizona.
This statement by Brown may not be the best description to make, as what separates elite NFL expansions from the average ones is their ability to pass and catch balls, regardless of coverage type. As expected, excitement users had a day full of Brown’s comments.
Brown doesn’t have the best track record as a WR for the Ravens, falling short in many situations where he was expected to play well. Especially after the season. Another argument was that TE Mark Andrews often took the brunt of the defense and Brown didn’t get much attention in most cases. Whenever he did, he wasn’t at his best.
