Kyrie Irving has promoted a documentary filled with anti-Semitic hatred and criticized for spreading hatred. Despite several warnings from the Brooklyn Nets, Irving continued to support it and therefore now faces suspension as a result of his actions.
A day after the Nets announced the suspension, popular sports brand Nike also announced that they would end their relationship with Irving. “At Nike, we believe there is no room for hate speech and we condemn all forms of antisemitism.”

Cole Beasley defends Kyrie Irving despite supporting Anti-Semitic beliefs

This wasn’t the first time he had had the opportunity to clarify – but he failed -” The Nets said in an official statement.
“Failure to reject anti-Semitism when given an open opportunity is deeply offensive, contrary to our organization’s values, and constitutes behavior that harms the team. Accordingly, we are of the opinion that it is not currently eligible to be associated with the Brooklyn Nets. We’ve decided that Kyrie should be suspended free of charge until she completes a set of objective remedial measures to address the detrimental impact of her behavior and the suspension period awarded is at least five games.“
