The Philadelphia 76ers earned a lot of prospects leading up to the 2021-22 playoffs. To begin with, the team has Joel Embiid, who has emerged as one of the league’s most outstanding players after repeatedly making the playoffs since his arrival. The player is on his way to (potentially) becoming the league MVP.
Earlier in February, the Sixers made a big move to buy James Harden by trading Ben Simmons, Seth Curry and Andre Drummond. Simmons was one of the biggest defensive strongmen on the roster, but his relationship with the franchise hasn’t aged well. Beard started his Sixers career with good numbers, but in just the first five games, his decline soon became a concern as they made their way into the playoffs.
James Harden failed to lead Sixers to 4-0 win
As the Sixers found themselves in the playoffs, they were paired with the Toronto Raptors in the first round. Things were running smoothly as they took a massive 3-0 lead over the Raptors. After their match 3 win, Joel Embiid made it clear that his intention was to sweep the opposition but his comments would not materialize.
In the next two games, James Harden shot a total of 9-28 from the field, which was a huge disappointment. The Sixers would play both these games, which included a home match. Knowing how talented the beard is, people are starting to think that the decline in his beard might be intentional. Philadelphia will have to work hard to win the next two games to avoid further damage.
Stephen A. Smith blames James Harden for Sixers’ failed race
A brief backstory… Daryl Morey is currently the general manager of the 76ers and a very close associate of Harden. As recent events would suggest, the two seemed to have some unfinished business with Mike Di’Antoni going back to his beard time in Houston. So, losing this series could potentially mean: Doctor Rivers He will be replaced by the former Rockets coach, who is waiting to be signed.
Stephen A. Smith would have agreed, “I believe Doc Rivers will be fired if he doesn’t win this series. I don’t think he deserves it. I’ve been around the NBA long enough to know where there’s smoke there’s fire. If you’re seeing these stories, they have a reason. And the fact that you hear about Di’Antoni who is always behind the scenes trying to find another job… and both Daryl Morey and James Harden are in Philly… I think the combination of all these things gets Doc Rivers in trouble. ”
“Calling Kyrie Irving and Ben Simmons for their influence and impact on the black athlete” Stephen A. Smith lashed out at Academy Award Winner Jamie Foxx for making unnecessary ‘black athletes’ allegations.
