“Rajasthan Royals kits are about edibles” – Fans react to new kit

Rajasthan Royals have unveiled the design of their new jerseys for the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League. The important announcement was made on Tuesday, March 15, on the team’s official social media accounts. The first-season champions have changed their jersey designs significantly while keeping their pink and blue colours. There are horizontal stripes on the jersey, which consists of various shades of pink.

In addition, the collar and sleeves of the jersey are in dark blue, and the Happilo logo is located in the middle of the jersey, which is the title sponsor of the franchise. Other sponsors’ logos such as Dollar, Jio, and Red Bull are also framed on the set. During this time, the jersey emerged with a fun video featuring the captain. Sanju SamsonYuzvendra Chahal and RedBull stuntman Robbie Maddison delivering the jersey.

“It was really great,” said Sanju Samson, captain of the Royals, who signed on for the special delivery. “Robbie’s amazing stunts were something I had seen in person for the first time as I had only seen them on TV before. (Can I ever try this sport?) Maybe I will try it myself after I stop playing cricket (laughs)” he added.

Fans shared their views on the new design as soon as it was announced. Meanwhile, the Jaipur-based team would like to see a change in their fortunes alongside a change of jersey. The team has not reached the final once since winning the title in the inaugural edition in 2008. Their performance over the last few seasons has been impressive.

But franchise reps did a great job at last month’s mega-auction and put together a tough team. While names such as Captain Sanju Samson, Jos Buttler and Yashasvi Jaiswal were retained, the team purchased big guns such as Ravichandran Ashwin, Trent Boult, Devdutt Padikkal, Shimron Hetmyer and Yuzvendra Chahal at the auction event.

Although the parties seem balanced on paper, it is not yet clear how they will implement their plans on the field. Meanwhile, IPL 2022 will kick off on March 26th and cricket fans should have ticked their calendars.
