“The BCCI Medical Team will make a phone call at a later stage to determine if it is available for the second and final Test. The All India Senior Selection Committee chose Abhimanyu Easwaran as the replacement for the first Test.” was read further.
Rishabh Pant, who assisted Jasprit Bumrah in a Test match against England, was disregarded for her supporting role. Pujara played 96 matches but was never selected for the leadership role so this news came as a surprise.
