WhatsApp has had picture-in-picture mode for a while now. For those who don’t know, this gives you: Play videos shared from Instagram, Facebook and YouTube without leaving the chat. According to information discovered by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp plans to make significant improvements to the picture-in-picture feature. In fact, as we can see in the picture below, new control bar lets you quickly pause or resume videobut there are other practical functions, such as a crosshair to open and even close the video in full screen mode.
In the old version, you had to tap the video for these buttons to appear and they disappeared after a while. By giving them their own space, you can always keep them on hand. Especially for YouTube videos, you will be able to use both options in full screen mode: “Watch later” and “Share”.
More features coming to WhatsApp soon
In addition to the new picture-in-picture mode, WhatsApp will be available soon a new “Collections” tab for all professional users of the whole world. Users will be able to create “collections” to organize products in their catalogs.
