What is Google WiFi?

Google WiFi is an expandable system designed to connect multiple areas of your home together for a better WiFi connection. You can pair Google WiFi routers for smaller homes or add more to outfit your entire home.

In short, Google hopes that this is the best WiFi router you can buy and will offer better WiFi at home with fewer WiFi issues.

Google WiFi system will automatically switch you to the correct WiFi connection and channel for the best system.

With an app on your phone, you can pause a device connected to the router to control access to the home network. Google suggests this is a good way to check when your kids are connected to the Internet to help them get to the table for dinner.

Although made by Google, this new Google WiFi router works with all your WiFi devices. This includes MacBooks, Surface Pro 4, Xbox One, PS4, Windows computers, Apple TV, Chromebooks, tablets, iPhones, iPads and Android.

This isn’t the first multi-router system on the market, but it’s cheaper. eeroIt retails for $199 for a single unit and $499 for a pack of three.

Unlike traditional WiFi systems and WiFi extenders, you don’t have to go through frustrating pairing and setup processes, manually changing connections, and dealing with the hassle of connecting to devices that span your networks.

Google WiFi release date is in December and Google WiFi pre-orders start in November.

To cover larger homes, you can purchase a Google WiFi single package for $129 and a Google WiFi 3 package for $299.

At the same event, Google announced the Pixel and Pixel XL, ChromeCast Ultra, DayDream VR and Google Home.
