LG's Galaxy Note 5 Rival Confirmed 1

LG’s Galaxy Note 5 Rival Confirmed

Earlier this year, a few weeks before the LG G4 release date in the United States, rumors began circulating that the G4 would not be LG’s only smartphone this year. In fact, rumors suggested that a bigger, better and faster LG G4 Note or LG G4 Pro is working to surpass the Galaxy Note 5.

These rumors actually started before the G4 was even announced and suggested that the company would announce both smartphones in April, but as we know, only the LG G4 has appeared. Today, however, LG has confirmed that a Galaxy Note 5 and iPhone 6s Plus rival will still launch, but coming later this year.

Rumors of a better model have slowed down since the launch of the LG G4, but a brand new report has surfaced this week, suggesting that a pretty impressive phone will arrive later this fall, and if the rumors are true, this will be one of the best phones to hit the market in 2015. and probably matches many in 2016 as well.

Popular and often true Korean outlet today ET News There were several reviews that they claimed came directly from LG. According to their sources, LG will be launching a “super premium phone” later this year that will receive premium high-end devices. Samsung is taking a similar two-device approach to Apple, and apparently the same move Motorola made this year.

LG has also confirmed that it will launch several “derivatives” of the popular LG G4, which is a great phone but doesn’t perform as well as predicted. This means we can probably expect a few different variants for regions outside of the United States. That said, the major flagship “super-premium phone” will most likely arrive in the United States, but at a time that won’t make it compete with the Galaxy Note 5. The phone looks like it will get the best of Samsung, but won’t be released around the same time. LG wants buyers to have options rather than directly fighting the competition.

However, if the reports and rumors we heard about this device called LG G4 Note or LG G4 Pro are correct, it will beat the Galaxy Note 5 and iPhone 6s. The latest reports suggest it’s an impressive phone. Here’s what we know so far based on the rumors.

Several other reports have mentioned an October release date that would be after the Note 5 and iPhone 6s, which alone gave LG the stage. A rumor even claimed that LG will push the limits and offer an Ultra-HD display with 3k resolution; this is something we’ve heard the Note 5 might have, but probably won’t.

If the device really arrives this late in the year, we can now expect a fingerprint scanner as Android M has built-in features, higher data speeds, a USB Type-C connector for charging and transfers, and much more.

If all of this turns out to be true, this phone will slightly outpace the new Galaxy Note 5, launch in time for holiday sales to explode, and potentially be LG’s best smartphone to date.

Since the new Galaxy Note 5 will be released in August, not October, and the new iPhone 6s are expected to arrive in September, LG’s job is cut out for them. However, if they can offer a smartphone similar to the one mentioned above, it could be a real winner on their hands. We’ll have to wait and see.
