Google continues to improve the user experience offered by its word processing software Google Docs every year. Since 2018, users have been able to take advantage of the grammar checker and even the real-time word counter.
In April 2022, Google announced the launch of a new tool that will improve your writing style. This tool offers, for example, different structures to give your text more fluidity, synonyms to diversify your vocabulary, the use of a more comprehensive word, and even active voice.

And on Thursday, May 26, 2022, the Mountain View firm just confirmed its arrival. Introducing a new feature in Google Docs. Users are sure to quickly fall in love with this new tool. Actually it’s possible now select several text boxes and then edit them all in one operation.
Practical for: quickly delete, copy/paste or bold/italicize various parts of your text, without having to make the same change every election. “This will make document formatting and editing faster because you will no longer have to make repetitive edits, which will increase your overall productivity.” adds google official blog. The method for triggering multiple text box selections varies depending on your system:
- On Windows: select the first text box to render and use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + Alt + Shift + Left or Right Arrow to make the following selections
- On macOS: select the first text box to render and use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + Cmd + Shift + Left or Right Arrow to make the following selections
According to Google, the new feature will be available for the following users: all Workspace users, as well as legacy G Suite Basic and Business users. The Mountain View company states that it will be enabled by default and deployed within 15 days, starting on Wednesday, May 25, 2022. In fact, don’t panic if you can’t access it right away.
