However, the latter can boast of having maintained their prices since 2019, which is quite simply a miracle in the streaming landscape. But it’s a miracle that doesn’t last long. In a recent press release, the service also announced an increase in its prices.
Crunchyroll succumbs to temptation and raises its prices
Two plans offered by Crunchyroll are entitled to price increases. Here’s how much subscribing to the service will cost you now:
- Fan subscription: €5.99/month
- Mega Fan Subscription: €7.99/month (or €79.99/year or 16% discount)
This second formula offers very interesting advantages, especially if you share it with your loved ones. In fact, the Mega Fan offer allows you to view the content on 4 different screens, in addition to taking advantage of the offline mode that allows you to download the episodes of your choice. The offer also gives you access to the Crunchy Vault, a catalog of free games.
“The price increase reflects the platform’s increase in content in recent years, expanding its catalog with more than 45,000 episodes across 1,400 TV series and movies. This means it will take almost two years to watch everything on Crunchyroll. », writes the platform. As a reminder, Crunchyroll will soon enter the Prime Video catalog for a few euros, but this option is not yet available in France.
