If you’re one of the millions of users still using the Galaxy S6 or Galaxy S6 Edge, we have a tip for you. It’s called fast charging and surprisingly many owners don’t take advantage of it. While you wait for the Android Nougat update, you may be disappointed by the lack of removable battery or want better battery life. If so, read on for more details.
Similar to Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 technology It’s been found in many phones over the past few years. This allows it to turbocharge extremely quickly when the battery is nearly dead. Samsung promises 4 hours of battery life after just 10 minutes on the wall charger. Great, isn’t it? you just need Right charger.
Fast or fast charging is the latest in battery technology because battery capacity technology is not going anywhere. With that in mind, we will share a list of chargers that will give you the most battery in the shortest amount of time possible. All of them are either fast, adaptive or Turbocharged compatible.
Essentially, when the battery drops below 10%, it charges incredibly fast, increasing the battery capacity to almost 50% in less than 30 minutes. That’s usually enough for the rest of a busy workday or a night out on the town. This is great technology.
There’s even Quick Charge 3.0 here in 2017, which did 50% in 15 minutes. Still, the Galaxy S6 charges very fast. After the first 30 minutes, it gradually returns to normal speeds to conserve battery life. Below is a preview of what fast charging does, as demonstrated by Qualcomm on the Nexus 6, which works almost the same as Samsung’s Adaptive Fast Charging on the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge.
As you can see, the device charges extremely slowly using a regular charger found at a gas station, or from an old device you took out of a box or cabinet. Like a phone would do in 2012. However, the far-end device reached 50% in the same time as a regular charger would only provide 22% battery life. That’s a big boost and something worth using. The power is in the wall wart you plug in then any regular USB cable will work.
We plugged it in at 5% on our own Galaxy S6 and hit 15% after just 5 minutes, 33% after 15 minutes on the wall, and 63% after just half an hour. This is more than enough to finish the rest of the day. In 50 minutes it was almost full and in just over an hour it was 100% fully hydrated and ready to use. This is something all owners can appreciate.
Oddly enough, many still don’t know this, so that’s where we come in. Fortunately, the Galaxy S6 has a Samsung “Adaptive fast charger” in the box.
