Deciding when to buy a new smartphone can be extremely difficult, especially if you are not aware of the latest rumors. We can’t tell you what to do, but we can say that right now is a bad time to be a smartphone customer. There are a ton of phones you probably shouldn’t buy right now, and these include the iPhone 6, Galaxy Note 4, and Moto X.
The smartphone market is full of excellent options. Devices like the 2014 iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, and Galaxy Note 4 continue to shine, nearly a year after their release, thanks to their impressive hardware and updated software. All three of these devices have several updates in the future, making them solid investments now and in the coming weeks.
We also have a few highlights from 2015. The list includes devices such as HTC One M9, Samsung Galaxy S6 and Samsung Galaxy S6. Samsung’s two flagships are two of the best smartphones the company has ever made. If you are aware of how many smartphones Samsung produces, you also know that this is an impressive achievement.
While most phones from late 2014 and 2015 are notable, we recommend waiting a few weeks if you can put it off, as companies prepare for late summer and fall.
If you can, you should wait to buy a new smartphone. The next 40 to 60 days are among the most active of the year and we’re ready to see a host of new devices arrive from top manufacturers like Apple, Samsung and Motorola. Moreover, most of these devices seem to be very solid successors of current flagships.
Not everyone will have the luxury of waiting, but if you do, there are several reasons why you should consider waiting at least a few more weeks. Here we take a look at 10 phones we don’t think you should buy right now, for various reasons.
Remember, this is only for the next few weeks. Once Apple, Samsung, and others announce their new products, this moratorium (in most cases) will no longer apply.
