Instagram’s latest update is perfect for those who love albums! It allows us to create collections of posts saved together with friends. However, not everyone knows how to do this. Check it out.

How do Instagram shared collections work?

Instagram has released an update to its app that allows us to create “albums” with friends, since sending them via direct is not the best way to find a specific publication later.

In this sense, one of the largest social networks in the world thought that users would like to save their references together with their friends.

In fact, this is very useful for those who like to save options for tourist destinations, restaurant posts or even city tours to do with friends. This way, they can have all this information in their “saved” folders too.

This new feature is also perfect for those who like to save motivational quotes and would like their friends to have them with them to read whenever they need them. The same can be done with news, job postings, etc.

In other words, it is a collective “saves”, where the added members can edit, insert or remove posts as they wish. The goal is for everyone to have access to what you saved in that specific album.

How to create an album with friends?

It’s very easy to do everything we mentioned above, just follow the steps below:

1. Once you find a post you want to save with the group, first click on the save icon (it looks like a flag and is in the bottom right corner of the publication);
2. After that, activate the “collaborative” option to create an album and create a name for your collection. For example, if you are posting about clothes, you can put something like “outfit inspirations”;
3. Still on the same page, you will need to indicate who it will be shared with, be careful not to share it with someone you don’t want;
4. Done! Your collection is done. To view it, just go to your profile, click on the three icons in the top right corner and then on “saved”, there you will find your folder;
5. To feed the album, just follow step 1 and the option to “save” to your albums will open.
