Question from the universe? James Webb captures image with cosmic question mark

Humanity has always marveled at the diversity of which the cosmos is composed. Therefore, explore the Universe in which we live is always a fascinating adventure full of complex discoveries about the various forms and bodies not yet understood by human beings.

Even with the in-depth astronomical studies of the Universe, we still have no idea of its totality and probably won’t even have it, given its inexplorable infinity.

As we try to discover more and more about the space around us, the space telescope James Webbthe result of great technological advancement, has presented us with exclusive images of walking objects in a vacuum, intriguing and revolutionizing the scientific community in a new era of space exploration.

In one of its last photographs, the telescope revealed a body with a somewhat unusual shape, which generated great controversy on the internet: a giant question mark in the Universe. But what for us is a grammatical symbol of great significance, for the cosmos, it is just another common form.

Although many believe in cosmological and metaphysical mysteries, there is a very likely explanation for what we see in the image revealed by NASA.

The photo in question is a study that has been taking place since the 1950s, on two young stars surrounded by unimaginable tons of cosmic dust and located in the so-called deep space, known as Herbig-Haro 46/47.

But, in addition to showing the bodies in detail in an unprecedented way, the telescope ended up capturing a strangely shaped figure, similar to a cosmic question mark.

So, what would this object be?

The explanation is much simpler than it seems. Researchers representing the STScl institute, one of those responsible for telescopeprecisely with NASA, CSA and ESA, explains that the strange-looking cosmic character is, in fact, the interaction of two galaxies that merged.

“Their interactions may have caused the distorted shape of the question mark,” explain the scientists.

Although it is interesting how we compare the Universe with our culture and language, we must remember that we are just a point in the midst of immensity, and this is just one of the perspectives of the celestial body.

Even so, we can still enjoy the beautiful image of these stars located around 1,470 light-years of our planet.
