Recently, a famous Japanese author named Rie Kudan admitted that one of her most recognized novels was written with the help of such a tool, as stated by The Japan Times.

According to Kudan, it was by sharing her thoughts with the AI that she was able to reach her full creative potential to finally write the work.
The book she got help from ChatGPT It’s called ‘Tokyo-to Dojo-to’ (Tokyo Tower of Compassion, literally translated into Portuguese).
The success of the production was such that, last Wednesday (17), the author was awarded the Akutagawa Prize, considered by many to be the biggest literary award in the country. During the ceremony, the judges praised the work incredibly.
But what no one expected happened. Rie admitted that she used this digital resource to produce the book and that 5% of the sentences contained in it were created by the tool. Ironically, one of the themes covered in the novel is precisely artificial intelligence.
The revelation left many people curious, as the woman did not indicate what the artificially generated content would be.
On social media, many readers began to point out excerpts that seemed to have been extracted in an unnatural way.
Despite having received some criticism, it seems that most people believe that using a small percentage of content generated by ChatGPT does not invalidate the writer’s merit.
