In the year 2000, MediaBrowser released several browsers from Nintendo. In fact, they were branded versions of Internet Explorer, created with the intention of selling ads and attracting the interest of gamers.

The first two browsers released for Nintendo were for the games ‘Pokémon Gold & Silver’ and ‘Mario Tennis’. Anyone from the CD-ROM era will remember this.
They were first made available in a CD-ROM for those who had pre-ordered a copy of the ‘Pokémon’ game.
The following year, in 2001, other versions marked by Nintendo were released, but with different themes: ‘Paper Mario’ and ‘Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask’.

The evolution of browsers marked by Nintendo even included the magazine ‘Nintendo Power’, when it was already in its final phase.
After Chapter 7, the company filed for bankruptcy and closed the website she kept active. And this directly affected the fate of the franchise’s browsers.
The company’s debts reached US$2.49 million. It is widely believed that this was a result of the internet boom and the change in public behavior.
