A new section will soon debut in the GPS application. It allows you to chat directly with him by asking him to search for a specific type of place in a specific area. In its demonstration, Google uses the example of a user in San Francisco who was looking for places with a retro atmosphere. After a brief search, Maps produces a list of restaurants, stores, and other businesses that fit these criteria.

The interesting part is that Google Maps can take previous searches into account to refine its recommendations. For example, after the user receives a list of places with retro decoration, they may want to include only restaurants. The app works and only displays places in the vicinity where it is possible to have lunch.
If that’s still not enough, the results are then organized by category, in a carousel format, allowing you to scroll through various photos and other details that might be of interest to the user. Currently, this feature is only available to a small number of users in the United States.
