After an alleged altercation with Colby Covington, Jorge Masvidal was arrested and allegedly charged with assault. The raid is said to have taken place outside Papi Steakhouse, where Colby Covington caught The Nelk Boys to celebrate his win at UFC 272.
The cops arrived at the scene and took Colby’s statement. Noticing his voice and his hoodie’s hair, he identified his attacker as Jorge Masvidal. Describing the attack, Colby states that he left the restaurant before the attacker ran towards him and punched him twice. Colby was left with a broken tooth and a bruised wrist.
In a video he posted to Twitter after the incident, Masvidal says:Call it a show your face contest… what’s up, I’m from Dade County. If you’re talking that scumbag, you need to support him. This is how my city turns.”

What are the consequences Jorge Masvidal has to face?
Jorge Masvidal faces charges of mostly battery assault and public mischief. If found guilty, he could potentially spend time behind bars. It could be 15 years or he will have to pay a huge fine.
Masvidal even applied for an organizer license. Nevada State Athletic Commission. He tabulates his application and describes the incident to the Commission as follows: “I had a joint fighter with another athlete and, you know, I can’t say much about it, but if we could sit at the table later that would be great.”
Currently on a $15,000 bond, Jorge Masvidal looks to kiss his license goodbye.
