UFC San Diego was not the best event for its fans. Dominic Cruz. The UFC legend faced a brutal defeat and didn’t go home with a handsome paycheck either. D-Cruz fans were devastated to learn that their favorite fighters were paid less than the frontline fighters Angela Hill.

Dominick Cruz returned to the octagon after quite some time against one of the current best in the department. Chito Vera and Cruz headlined the UFC Fight Night event in San Diego, which is also The Dominator’s hometown. The entire Pechanga Arena in California was backing the former smallweight champion to put on a show. The fight went on for four big rounds, and Cruz looked like he was going to score another victory.

However, Chito Vera ended the fight with a terrific left kick and silenced the entire crowd. UFC San Diego’s salaries were announced recently, and fans were shocked to learn that Angela Hill, a wickerweight female veteran, made more money than Cruz on fight night last week. Fans couldn’t believe what they saw and didn’t hold back their reactions.

Angela Hill earns $15,000 more than Dominick Cruz

The winner of the main event, Marlon Vera, took home the biggest check. He received $150,000 for the show and $150,000 to win. Unable to win, Cruz was still a fighter with the highest base salary of $175,000. Female strawweight veteran Angela Hill had a record of 14-12 and has a base salary of $90,000, which is significantly lower than Cruz’s. However, a win for Angela saw her take home $190,000, which is more than the former smallweight champion.
