Marvin Vettori developed an interesting friendship with Nate Diaz. The Italian dream has often been seen hanging out with the Stockton Bad boy in their hometown of California and even trained together multiple times in the past. As Vettori sought to find his way to his third fight against Champion Israel Adesanya, he offered some advice to the UFC when it came to dealing with his friend and training partner.
Originally supposed to be ready for a match in Singapore, Vettori is now back in training as Robert Whittaker had to withdraw due to an injury and is now awaiting a reschedule of the match. Meanwhile, he’s busy giving interviews about his past and future rivals like Sean Strickland, Robert Whittaker, and even Alex Pereira. In a recent interview with schmo, Vettori was asked how he felt about the situation developing between the UFC and his friend Nate.

Marvin Vettori offers his two cents on the Nate Diaz situation
For those unaware, Nate Diaz has been in a long battle against the UFC since his match at UFC 263, where he faces Leon Edwards in a five-round fight. Diaz created an iconic moment in the fight with a 1-2 flush in the final 30 seconds of the fight that caused Edwards to wobble and land on his back foot. Since then, Nate’s UFC contract has only one fight left and he wants to leave. For months now, the UFC megastar has been asking the company to either book him for his final fight or let him go, for both variants that the UFC doesn’t agree with.
Diaz often takes his frustrations out on social media, where he openly asks the UFC to do his last fight, and Dustin Poirier seems like a very attractive option for Diaz. When that didn’t work out, the star began openly asking the company to get him out of his contract, even tagging the wrong Hunter (Campbell) on Twitter, leading to another iconic Daiz moment. Most recently, he applied to pee on the UFC PI and posted a photo with the caption. “I can do this because I get paid more than any man and they won’t cut me off”
When Vettori was asked how he felt about Nate’s condition, he replied, “i don’t know exactly what’s going on” cried Vettori while laughing, “Yeah man release Nate, if he wants to go let him go, you know.” Do you think Nate will finally get his last fight or will he be kicked out of the organization before that?
