By rights, the app should have a default music video length. However, users claim to see much longer videos in their feeds. Also, some users are not aware that they can also make shorter videos.

How Long Are Triller Videos?

A default Triller video lasts 16 seconds. However, you can make it shorter or up to 30 seconds. This is why everyone believes that all Triller videos have a 30 second limit.

Therefore, if you want to use a pre-existing song from the app, you cannot exceed this time limit.

Of course, many users find this annoying. However, when you compare it to similar apps like TikTok (up to 15 seconds), it still has a lot to offer.

But occasionally you find a video that exceeds this limit. Sometimes even a minute or two. How?

Back to the beginning: Triller videos can indeed be longer than half a minute. However, you have to use a certain “cheat” that is only available if you are an iPhone user. If you are, you can proceed to the next section.

Making Trill Videos Longer

Some YouTubers have figured out how to make Triller videos longer using different apps on their iPhones.

But keep in mind that this is a “hack” and not an official instruction. It does not work on Android and other operating systems.

So, if you have an iPhone and want to create a longer music video, you can follow these steps:

1. Launch the “Files” app on your iPhone.
   
2. Go to the “Music” folder.
3. Open the song you want to add to Triller.
4. Tap the “Share” button in the lower left corner of the screen.
5. Select the “Notes” application (you need to copy the audio file to the notes file first).
   
6. Select “Save”.
7. Return to the application menu.
8. Go to “Notes”.
9. Open the notes file with your song attached.
10. Tap “Share” in the upper right corner of the screen.
    
11. Go to “More” to list all available apps.
12. Tap “Copy to Triller”.

Wait for the app to load and you will clearly notice that the length of the song has exceeded the normal limit. Better still, you can still use the app’s meter to shorten the video’s length.

How to Make Trill Videos Shorter/Longer (Up to 30 Seconds)

Your Triller videos can only last a second if you want. It all depends on the part of the song you want to record and the length.

If you want to set the time, you can follow these simple steps:

1. Launch the Triller app.
2. Press the “Add” button at the bottom of the screen to make a new video.
   
3. Press “Music Video”.
   
4. Choose a song from the list.
5. Press the timer at the bottom of the screen.
   
6. Slide your finger up or down to choose the length of the song.
7. Press “Done”.
8. Tap “Movie” in the top right to start recording your video.

And that’s it. You can also use the same instructions to shorten the much longer video described in the previous section.

Record Longer Videos with Triller Vlog

If you want to do something different you can test the Triller vlog.

Quite different from a regular Triller video. You don’t add audio and lip-sync your favorite songs to create a catchy video.

Instead, you can use it as a regular vlogging platform to share exciting moments with your followers. It allows you to cut and trim the video and leave only the funniest parts.

Also, vlogs can be much longer than official Triller videos.

To record a Triller vlog, follow the first two steps in the previous section and select “Vlog” instead of “Music Video”. When you are ready, you can start recording.
