“This is breaking the STIGMAS”: Twitter hails Broncos receiver KJ Hamler for waging his battle with mental health issues

Kahlee Jacoby Hamler has made a name for herself at the highest level. The gifted and young wide receiver played college football at Penn State and made several notable performances.

He was tied by the Broncos in 2020 and the 23-year-old continues to play for the same team. In his short career thus far, Hamler has had extremely difficult times. He’s only had 6 starts in 16 games so far and has struggled with injuries along the way.

“It has been a very rough journey”: KJ Hamler

Also, in Week 3 of the Broncos’ season last year, Hamler suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament and hip dislocation. Finally, on Monday, a year later, hammer managed to get back on the field. After the training, Hamler thought about the hard times he’s had so far. “It’s been a tough journey to be honest. There were so many things that I piled on top of each other and dealt with. At one point, just messing around with the ACL and then some stuff about family situations. The love of my life passed my grandmother, so that was the hardest thing. This was on my back for a while.“

“I wish I had asked for help because it has been at some point in my life – and I’ll be honest with you all because I’m more confident and more vulnerable just by saying it. At some point, I didn’t want to be here. I didn’t want to be in this world. There was a point where I didn’t want to hear from me anymore because I lost my grandmother, and it really upset me.,” added.

The NFL star added that at the end of the day, she is extremely proud of herself, her grandmother will be proud of her, and she is grateful to those who can stand by her side. “At the end of the day, I talked more. I was in therapy. I looked into therapy. I talk more to my men, I’ve talked to my mom and dad and all the people who care about me here because I don’t have a family here. I’m just trying my best to be a better version of myself,” he stated.
