American sports analyst Shannon Sharpe recently talked about by Tom Brady clutch mentality. Brady, 45, saved the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from death against the New Orleans Saints. The Bucs trailed the game 3-16 with just 5 minutes left, and then Brady used all of his years of experience to lead the team with 2 back-to-back touchdown drives that sealed the game.
talk over Undisputed With Skip Bayless, Sharpe discussed the clutch mentality of various players in different sports. He said the guys needed to see it make an impact on the game as a whole, but argued that as a quarterback Brady led the offense, but these clutch drives could not have been accomplished without the help of other players.
He quoted the example of Michael Jordan and said that in basketball he not only blocked the players but also took the winning shot from the other side of the court, and for Sharpe it was the clutch.
I need to see guys on both sides of the field who can influence the game. I understand that Tom Brady teams up on the positions but it has nothing to do with kicks and interceptions. Last night, did Tom Brady shoot the ball off? Taysom Hill? No, he didn’t. That’s part of the job. I’m looking at LeBron James who impressed both sides of the game. He blocks and also shoots, or Michael Jordan steals the ball and goes down and hits the game-winning shot.” said Sharp.

Shannon Sharpe in Tom Brady’s clutch game
He admitted that Brady is a clutch player and that it would be foolish to deny that Brady is a clutch. He added that although LeBron James has been called the ‘choker’ many times, he has a better record in the playoffs than even Michael Jordan.
“Tom Brady is the clutch, there’s no doubt about it. I’m not trying to take it from him, it would be stupid to even try. Look at LeBron James, in his playoff career, he has 8 shots to equalize or win in the last 7 seconds of the game and that’s two more than Michael Jordan “ said.
He said that when thinking about team sports, he could name LeBron James and Michael Jordan as clutch players and Serena Williams and Tiger Woods as clutch players for individual sports.
“This means he has to! Skip it, that’s what I don’t understand, you’re receiver dependent. Quarterback is a dependent position, right? I need to see guys on both sides of the field who can influence games. I’m looking at LeBron James and Michael Jordan for team sports and Serena Williams and Tiger Woods for individual sports.” added.
In the end, he shockingly said he didn’t see Tom Brady as the most clutch player of all time. “To cut it short, No! she cried.
