Tyreek Hill This season is killing it. Old Kansas City Chiefs Wideout had success with new quarterback Tua Tagovailoa as the Miami Dolphin. With 69 receptions, 961 receiving yards and an average of 13.9 yards per carry, he proved to be the best forward in the league at the moment.
His performance made him a strong contender to win offensive player of the year. Same award as former quarterback Patrick Mahomes running right next to it. Mahomes is also having a pretty good year with 20 touchdowns and 2,159 yards.
For OPOY, the battle is imminent and analysts can’t help but debate which of the two deserves this award more. if you ask Bart ScottHe thinks Tyreek Hill deserves to be OPOY this season.
Here’s what Bart had to say, “Not close. Tyreek Hill. Patrick Mahomes still has Andy Reid, he’s comfortable, and he still has Travis Kelce. Tyreek Hill went to a new environment, a lost culture and exceeded expectations. This guy is at 2,000 yard pickup and the franchise QB at Tua Tagovailoa isn’t even available due to the concussion. It’s rare for a free agent to arrive at a new destination and exceed expectations.“
Tyreek Hill has become the heart and soul of the Miami Dolphins offensive:
What Tyreek has accomplished is nothing short of remarkable. This season, the Dolphins have been the focus of their offense. We got to give Jaylen Waddle her flowers, too, but Hill was the missing piece the team desperately needed.
Bart Scott continues to add, “I understand that (Dolphins) are behind, but they will be Super Bowl contenders with (Bradley) Chubb. With Patrick Mahomes in his current environment, they will always be a Super Bowl contender. Tyreek Hill has risen…went to a losing culture and addicted to it. I would choose Tyreek Hill, he was a leader and exceeded expectations. It was arguably the best and most unstoppable weapon in football.“
“Patrick Mahomes is still in a fight with Josh Allen but I don’t think he’s even close to who OPOY is.” Scott finishes. It’s exciting to see who will win the offensive player of the year this season as the race is so close. Each candidate’s statistics are remarkable, and on paper, an argument can be made that they all deserve it.
