The New York Giants received several notable picks during the NFL 2022 draft last month. Most notable among them was their selection of Oregon Ducks’ Kayvon Thibodeaux as their 5th pick overall.
The 21-year-old rookie outfielder has already made huge strides to impress his current teammates as teams have their first practice sessions. He particularly impressed Giants defender Leonard Williams.

Kayvon Thibodeaux impressed Leonard Williams in these early practice sessions for the New York Giants.
Speaking after one of his practice sessions, Leonard Williams gave his assessment of Thibodeaux’s skills on the football field. The veteran football star had rave reviews about the rookie and was impressed with his performance in these early interactions with him.
“I like what I’ve seen so far” Williams said of Thibodeaux: According to Pro Football Talk. “It’s the little things that we have a few guys on the defense – or anyone else who puts on the show and if they need an offensive player or something like that, he’s one of the first to run out there and look.”
“I appreciate things like this from top picks because he knows he has a lot more to give to the team. Being drafted high doesn’t mean he can’t help.”
“When I met him in person, he’s a humble guy and ready to work and like I said, he’s one of the first people to go there when we need a look and things like that. I’m definitely impressed with these things.”
