The quarterback is undoubtedly the most coveted and most difficult position to play in the NFL. Once you achieve this QB1 status, you enter the world of stardom, prospects, victory and loss, and you are expected to win every week. While being the first QB in the league is a dream, it’s not that great for backup quarterbacks.

Oftentimes, backup QBs are never well known to fans around the world and sometimes to their teammates. To check how unrecognized he is by his Buffalo Bills teammates, backup QB Case Keenum played a fun prank at the team’s training camp on Tuesday.

Case Keenum masquerades as a fan to see how many teammates know him

On Tuesday, the Buffalo Bills shared a video of Case Keenum arriving at training camp posing as a fan and tricking his teammates into signing an autograph for him, along with GM Brandon Beane. The 34-year-old actress accompanied the act with a bucket hat, glasses, and fake Southern accent, and asked her friends for an autograph.

While some players quickly recognized Keenum in disguise, others had to take a second look to confirm that the fan was actually the backup QB. After Keenum played for a while joking with the players, security approached him and asked him to stand behind bars with the other fans. Now that should hurt!

At the end of the video, Keenum shouted at the top of his lungs with his fake accent as QB Josh Allen approached his fans. He asked Allen for his autograph, and the 26-year-old star had to realize he was his joking backup. Case Keenum bounced from team to team during his stint in the NFL. Counting the bills, Keenum played for six different teams during his nine-year career. Given Allen’s insane ability to win games, it’s unlikely that Keenum will get a head start for Bono.
