A Microsoft recently announced that there will be an increase in the prices of Game Pass and Xbox Series X in some countries. The news was released on June 21, a Wednesday, and the changes will take effect from August, except in some locations.
As regards the Xbox Series Xit is important to highlight that the increase in its value will not be applied in the United States, Japan, Chile, Brazil and Colombia. However, the Game Passin turn, will have its value changed in almost all countries.
The monthly price of Game Pass, which is currently R$29.99, will be adjusted to R$32.99. The Ultimate subscription, which includes access to Game Pass for console, PC and xCloud system, will change from R$44.99 to R$49.99.
These changes will come into effect from August 13, except in Germany, where the new pricing policy will be implemented from September thanks to a specific German law.

Will there be an increase for those who are already users?
It is important to note that current subscribers will not have to pay the extra amounts immediately. However, once the current contract ends, the new prices will apply. This is the first time that the Game Pass has been modified since its launch in 2017.
Microsoft will certainly continue to invest in Game Pass, as this is one of its main gaming platforms today, offering users a wide catalog of games for console, PC and streaming via xCloud.
However, with the increase in prices, the company seeks to sustain and further expand this service, providing a high-quality gaming experience for subscribers.
