It’s a tradition for Grand Theft Auto to receive two major updates each year, one in the summer and one at Christmas time in the winter. These two updates are the biggest updates GTA has had all year, with introductions to new characters, drop-feed updates of new vehicles, and exciting new jobs and even heists.
December is coming, everyone is waiting to see what the new DLC GTA will introduce this time. There are countless reliable leaks and teasers available on the internet regarding this upcoming new update. There are many interesting things predicted by them and will bring exciting new twists and stories.
According to calculations based on the current GTA+ benefits and schedule of rewards, the new update 16.4 may be released on December 13. This is said to be the last major DLC that older generation consoles (PS4 and XBOX one) are set to receive; next-gen controllers (PS5 and Xbox series X/S) are also getting the update and also benefits similar to how they got some special Hao’s Special Works or HSW update. This is to shift their focus away from older consoles so that Rockstar makes room for even bigger updates to these platforms in the future.

Is Michael De Santa coming to GTA Online?
One of the biggest ongoing speculations is whether players will be treated by an appearance of Michael De Santa in the online world. It’s time for Rockstar to take it to GTA Online, and we’re almost certain it will make an appearance. After Franklin came to the GTA with his job in contract DLC, there were a lot of hints and name drops by Franklin, especially during the Contract DLC.
Even Michael’s voice actor Ned Luke hinted that he would appear soon. In the contract update, we learned that Michael is currently working at Vinewood, like Los Santos’ Hollywood, which means the upcoming update may have a movie DLC.

Another big addition to the update is speculated to be the chance to create your music. Several verified sources of leakers have confirmed that Rockstar, in conjunction with its parent company Take-Two Interactive, plans to roll out an update that will allow users to compose their music. It is alleged that it will be called Rapponator, as there have been reports of Rockstar purchasing said domain name.
Although Rockstar has not made any official announcements about what the new Christmas update will include, these speculations can be called educational guesses. While waiting for GTA online updates, players are also hoping that Rockstar will release updates and even hints for GTA 6 at this point. Hopefully the 16.4 update has some hints and teasers.
