Making the players very happy, Krafton announced the first eSports tournament for the futuristic battle-royale game PUBG New State. The tournament was called the New State Mobile Open Challenge and is limited to Korean players only.
As eSports organizations can be seen hosting tournaments with huge prize pools, eSports has become a worldwide recognized phenomenon today. Krafton’s PUBG New State was released in November 2021, where officials explained that they were discussing various ways to popularize the game’s eSports scenario. Today, the South Korean game developer announced the New State Mobile Open.

PUBG New State Mobile Open Challenge announced by Krafton
The delightful announcement of the New State Mobile Open Challenge came via the game’s social media handles. It is open to all tournaments, but players should note that the tournament is limited to the South Korean region only. The tournament’s prize pool has been kept at $250,000 and is scheduled to start from February 5.
South Korean players can register for the tournament here. The tournament will also be streamed live on PUBG New State’s official YouTube channel from February 15. However, there was no information on when the tournament will be broadcast live. Meanwhile, players can check out the following schedule:
- February 5 – Online open qualifiers
- February 6 – Online open qualifiers
- February 12 – Online open qualifiers
- February 13 – Online open qualifiers
- February 15-18 – Offline group stage at IVEX Studio in Gwang-Myeong, South Korea
- February 19 – Offline grand finals at IVEX Studio in Gwang-Myeong, South Korea
Registration will close on February 2, and only players with a Gold I rank in Season 1 can participate in the tournament. PUBG New State tournament will be played exclusively in BR: Extreme Mode. It is a hardcore game mode where 64 players gather in a smaller area of Troi. Players will land with the P1911 pistol, a smoke grenade, fully charged boost meters, and 300 Drone Credits.
