We know that some movie characters from Marvel pleased the public. The world of cinema has brought many fantastic inspirations to comic book writers, from Agent Coulson to Sylvie Laufeydottir.
Now, another incredible character has arrived who may have the ability to destroy the wall that keeps the two universes separate: Darcy Lewis.
With her first appearance in Thor, in 2011, the scientist played by actress Kat Dennings won the affection of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) audience in other films by the studio, such as “Thor: Dark World”, “Thor: Love and Thunder” and “Wandavision”.
Now, the character appears again in the “Scarlet Witch” solo comic, which premiered in the United States on January 4th.
In the preview released for the first issue, the character Darcy Lewis is seen working in a witchcraft shop run by Wanda Maximoff. The heroine’s new storyline will place the witch as an important solution for those who “need it most.”
Comic book synopsis
There is a door that will open only for those who need it most, who can’t find anyone else in the world to ask for help.
On the other side of the door, there is a witchcraft shop full of mystery. Friend or not, human or otherwise, if you need help and have lost all hope, there you will meet the “Scarlet Witch”!
“Wanda Maximoff” knows failure well, but now that she has definitely found her peace, she will use all her powers to help others who have hit rock bottom.
Darcy’s presence is still very mysterious, but the third edition shows that she brings with her a dark past.
Check out an excerpt from the synopsis of the third edition scheduled for March:
“[…] the dark past of Wanda’s enigmatic store clerk, Darcy Lewis, returns… seeking revenge.”
Furthermore, the return of Scarlet Witch in a solo title shows a new beginning for Wanda, as she needed to understand more about her past in her story released in 2015.
With art by Sara Pichelli and a script created by Steve Orlando, the new series has no scheduled release date in Brazil.
