“He asked Shreyas Iyer for his stick so he can stop hitting 6 seconds” – Tabraiz Shamsi promises to be prepared next time

South African bowler Tabraiz Shamsi and Indian batsman Shreyas Iyer had a friendly chat before the series decision maker of the five-game T20I. He shared a post on Twitter showing a photo taken on the last T20I. Both actors were seen talking to each other.

Shamsi explained what she said to Shreyas back then. He wrote. ” She asked Shreyasyer15 For his stick before the game so he can stop hitting me for 6 seconds haha… you definitely won this round!”

“I’ll be back… better prepared… and ready to fight you again,” he continued.

Angry exchange of words between Shamsi and Ishan Kishan

Despite having a friendly conversation with Shreyas Iyer, angers flared between Shamsi and Ishan Kishan when Shamsi and Ishan Kishan took a straight six hit from the spinner in the 3rd T20I in Vishakhapatnam. After six, the next ball was a full shot, as Ishan hit the fielder. The camera showed Şemsi muttering something to İşhan.

As expected, Ishan answered him and although the voice was not clear, Ishan was seen having an angry word battle with Shamsi. From then on, Ishan let his stick do the talking. He reached half a century with 31 balls. He even slapped the spinner for 4,6 and 4 the next time he messed with it and completed the fifty-second T20I of his career and series. The series ended in a draw with the fifth T20I and was abandoned due to the deciding rain.

India will play the rescheduled fifth Test against England at Edgbaston from 1 July. India leads the series 2-1. After testing, three T20Is and three ODIs will be played until 17 July.
