Xiaomi sees smartphone sales fall, E3 won’t happen this year, that’s the summary

Yesterday’s news tasted bitter like the end of an era. First of all, Xiaomi, which was once the real rival of Apple and Samsung, can no longer sell its smartphones today. E3, for its part, no longer manages to return to the front of the stage with another cancellation. Fortunately, we came across a nice Google Drive update to console us.

Xiaomi can’t raise its head above water

Xiaomi, which used to be a big competitor to Samsung and Apple in the smartphone market, is now experiencing its worst. It’s simple, in the fourth quarter of 2022 its sales fell 22.8% year-on-year and its profit halved at 67.3%. At stake is an overall troubled industry and the late consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic.

You will never lose your files in Google Drive again

And that’s thanks to a new feature we’ve been waiting for over a year: advanced search. This provides a few additional filters, such as file type, last modified date, and users who have access to it, to make sure you find what you’re looking for. The update is deployed.

No E3 this year, broadcasters don’t want to come anymore

Neither the next year nor the following years are at this speed. The show, once the not-to-be-missed annual video game event, is now just a shadow of its former self. Indeed, after several announcements by broadcasters that they would not attend the conference and would prefer their own conference, the organizers had to cancel this issue, which was announced as the long-awaited comeback of the show.
