WhatsApp gets an Instagram-like text editor

After revealing the arrival of short video messages or the possibility of pinning important messages to the top of your conversations, WABetaInfo has just announced what will be the next feature of WhatsApp and this will be heavily inspired by Instagram.

Indeed, WhatsApp will soon have a text editor very similar to that of Instagram or Snapchat. In the new beta version 2.23.3.4 on Android, WhatsApp has added functionality to edit images, videos and GIFs using new tools and fonts.

In the new version of WhatsApp, which is currently in beta for very few users, you can now add text on the images you send.

You can easily switch between fonts by tapping any of the font options displayed above the keyboard. just like you can on other social networks. It was already possible to change the font of a text, but WhatsApp now makes it easy to quickly select the font you want.

Additionally, WhatsApp has a button that aligns text to the left, center, or right to better control the formatting of your annotations. Not surprisingly, it is also possible to change the background color of the text, this makes it easy to distinguish important text from others.

Finally, keep in mind that new fonts like Calistoga, Courier Prime, Damion, Exo 2, and Morning Breeze are now available to beta testers. It is unknown for now whether this feature will come to all users quickly. some features that remained in beta for months. However, we hope that it will be deployed quickly in the stable version so that WhatsApp can finally catch up with its competitors. Meanwhile, we remind you that WhatsApp, another feature that Meta stole from its competitors, plans to give you better control over your temporary messages.
