WhatsApp: A vulnerability allows hackers to send messages with your account
According to researchers, the hacker who decides to send a message instead of another WhatsApp account can use several methods. Here are which ones:
- A hacker can use the “quote” feature. change sender ideven if that person is not a member of the newsgroup.
- A malicious person can prevent the message from being sent between your smartphone and the application servers, at the same time edit message content you just sent
- A hacker can also forward a public message as a private message. Your answers are visible to anyone in a discussion group.
Using these few techniques, a malicious hacker can easily ruin a relationship, drive all your friends away and destroy your reputation. Worried about the impact of this vulnerability on the spread of fake news that already contaminates the app, researchers quickly informed WhatsApp.
