If you’re having trouble with Spotify, Tinder or TikTok on iPhone or iPad, don’t worry. As I write these lines, all this ultra popular apps are victims of repeated crashes or bugs. These issues are not isolated, as evidenced by the flurry of comments about it on Twitter and the DownDetector site.
“Many apps including TikTok, Spotify and Tinder no longer work on iOS due to Facebook sync issue. Writes the user @centralpilote to DownDetector. “What can I do in my day if Spotify and TikTok are not working?“, reports another user. As stated in the comment above, the responsibility will be on Facebook’s side.
They reported that they detected technical teams on Facebook’s developer platform.An issue in the SDK for iOS that could cause some apps to crash. For now Note that the issue is still not resolved. The social network did not make any predictions about a return to normalcy.

Airplane mode waiting for a fix
Some Internet users have already found immediate solution, at least for Spotify. The Facebook Connect module, which is the source of all these errors, start the app in airplane mode or offline to enjoy it again, of course without online features. This trick will not work with Tinder, which requires a persistent Internet connection.
As a reminder, these same apps had already faced difficulties in early May 2020 due to the same SDK level issue. Again, the bugs only affected iOS devices. A global outage in April affected Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram for two days.
