Samsung Galaxy S8 Pre-Order Date, Time and Shipping

Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ on March 29, officially announced with much enthusiasm. Now that they’re official and will be coming with pre-orders soon, buyers are looking for more details. Here we’ll go over pre-orders, the release date, and when they’ll ship for those who are interested.

All your favorite carriers or retail stores will carry both devices and announcements have already been made. To make things easier for potential buyers, we provide links, details, hours and more below. Additionally, most carriers will showcase them from March 31 to test before purchasing.

Samsung made some big announcements on stage and then it was confirmed by all the major carriers. The Galaxy S8 and S8+ will be available for pre-order tonight (or midnight March 30) and will be released worldwide starting April 21. As expected, the next Galaxy comes with the latest bells and whistles. Some of these include massive 5.8 and 6.2 inch Quad-HD Infinity displays, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage and a new powerhouse Snapdragon 835 processor with an improved camera. The fingerprint scanner is on the back as the front is almost all screen and they run Android 7.0 Nougat. It has a premium metal and glass design, a new Bixby virtual assistant above Google Assistant, IP68 water resistance, and much more.

Galaxy S8 Pre-Order Date and Time

Both the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ will be available for pre-order starting March 30. Technically it’s midnight on March 29. For those on the West Coast, pre-orders from all major carriers and retail stores will begin at 9:01 pm PT. Additionally, Best Buy, Target, and many other retail outlets will also start accepting pre-orders, offering good deals with it.

Those who pre-order Samsung’s new phone from March 30 to April 20 will receive a free Samsung Gear VR 2 headset with motion controller. We’ll update as additional details or opportunities are announced.

Where to Buy Galaxy S8

As we mentioned above and as expected, these phones will be available almost everywhere. All carriers and multiple major retail stores will deliver the next big thing.

Following in the footsteps of Verizon, US Cellular will also launch the Galaxy S8 and S8+. And while no pricing has been announced, there will be a fair trade offer for those interested. Not to mention no hidden fees and other incentives similar to T-Mobile.

Galaxy S8 Release Date

The Galaxy S8 and S8+ won’t be available for about three weeks, although pre-orders start on March 30. This is because the global release date has been officially set to April 21. This is later than many expected, but sooner than the latest rumors.

Samsung took extra time to get the hardware and software right, implement an 8-point battery safety check, build stunning new Infinity displays, and stock the new Snapdragon 835 processor that powers this smartphone.

All carriers and retail stores in the United States have the same release date, which is April 21. However, we may see some trying to ship pre-orders early, similar to what T-Mobile did with the Galaxy S7 in 2016. If this happens, we will be the first to let you know.

Note that the phones will not be available until April 21, as pre-orders are about to go live.

Galaxy S8 Colors

Before the announcement, we saw a lot of photo and video leaks about the Galaxy S8 and S8+, but now we are sure of it. Instead of a brushed aluminum look, Samsung uses a new mirror-finish metal finish on the sides. Also, whatever color you choose, the front seems to be black. This is a good move, as the bezels are small and packed with sensors.

In the United States, both phones will be available in Midnight Black, Arctic Silver, and Orchid Gray colors. There are also gold and blue color variants for other parts of the world. It’s worth noting that Orchid Gray has almost a hint of bluish, but should look like a Space Gray iPhone.
