The Galaxy Tab Android Pie update is rolling out, which means Samsung tablet owners can choose: Install the update right away or wait for a few hours, days or longer. Both have benefits.
After a long wait, Samsung is finally bringing Android Pie to its tablet lineup, starting with its flagship Galaxy Tab S4. The update is currently rolling out in Europe and the United States, but we expect the software to begin rolling out Galaxy Tab S4 models in other regions soon.
The update currently forces only Wi-Fi and LTE models in the United States. 1.4 GB download is required for the update.
The Android Pie update is currently limited to the Galaxy Tab S4, but will roll out to other Galaxy Tab models in the coming weeks. Owners of older models like the Galaxy Tab S3 are in for quite a long wait.
If you own a Galaxy Tab S4, you’ll want to keep an eye on your April and May update. We expect a flurry of updates in the near future. When you get the prompt, you may want to install the software immediately.
Samsung’s version of Android Pie is packed to the brim with changes, including the company’s new One UI. One UI looks very different from Samsung Experience and brings some useful upgrades, including a new Night Mode.
