Imagine this situation: You are watching a football match, your team approaches the opponent’s field and you hear your neighbors there shouting to celebrate the goal. In our own field, this goal would come only a few seconds later. Fun ruined, you ruined one of the most important moments of the match.
As Euro 2024 begins, you may be looking to avoid such frustrating situations to get the most out of the competition. Depending on your TV setup, the signal may arrive much later than the people around you. But one trick allows you to greatly reduce the delay and thus avoid disruption of important events of the match.
Streaming latency is much higher than TNT
As stated in the tweet of the TDF group, France’s audiovisual, telecom and fiber optic network infrastructure operator, it is recommended to watch the Euro 2024 matches broadcast on TF1 and M6 on TNT. We see a delay of 1 to 3 seconds in terrestrial broadcasts. FM and DAB+ radio are offered first, only the audio is processed, but it is DTT that allows you to get as close to live television as possible.
If you are broadcasting matches, the delay can be up to 45 seconds. Therefore, your DTT-using neighbors will be elated long before you have a chance to see the target. In streaming, fiber-connected TV boxes unsurprisingly offer the lowest latency. If you’re watching a match via Wi-Fi on your smartphone, tablet or PC, you can be sure that you’ll be among the last to watch the goal.
Unfortunately, TF1 and M6 do not broadcast all Euro 2024 matches. For matches that are not broadcast on these channels, you will have to broadcast via beIN Sports in France or connect to channels abroad (for example, Belgium). through a VPN.

Don’t you want to be spoiled anymore by your neighbors who boast about every goal? Watch the matches on TF1 and M6 on TNT.
Besides being free and anonymous, DTT also offers the lowest latency!💪 pic.twitter.com/yhXvVBMDuX
