Earlier this year, the Google Search app changed its look for search results on mobile. Google is testing similar changes for the Desktop version of the search engine, as seen on the 9to5Google site. There are no fundamental changes, but minor changes should still be noticed by Internet users.
Google Search: A new look for search results on PC
The first change we see in the new interface, displaying the favicon of websites. It is now placed to the left of the title of each search result. Favicons are these little icons that usually overlay the logo of sites and that we already find at the tab level in web browsers. With its new presentation google search, they now appear in search results. However, this is not the only change that has caught our attention.
Google also decided to remove URLs that appear below the description However, they are no longer lost as they are now in a more discreet black color above the header, right next to the favicon. If you can’t get a pictorial representation of these changes, the comparative screenshots at the end of the article will give you a clear idea.

This new design also looks more compact and allows more results to be displayed on a single page. As 9to5Google points out, the Google Search redesign is in testing. It should already be available to some users, but Google hasn’t made it widely available yet.
