Google One available in France: What would change if you used Google Drive?

Google One is now available in France with a new suite of cheaper cloud storage offerings and family sharing of your default plan for up to 5 people. Note that in the latter case, each member of the family (or friends) has 15GB reserved, then the remaining storage is paid for with the remaining free space: so for three family members on a 100GB subscription, there’s 15GB each reserved and the remaining 85GB shared It can store as much data as needed as long as space is available. Here are other things that have changed with Google One.

Google One: prices fall, storage grows

Currently, Google Drive charges for cloud storage as follows:

• 15GB free
• 100 GB, € 1.99 per month or € 19.99 per year
• 1 TB, €9.99 per month or €99.99 per year
• 2TB, €19.99
• 10 TB from € 99.99
• 20TB 199.99 €
• 30TB for €299.99

The new Google One plans now offer:

• 15GB free
• 200GB for 2.99 Euros
• 2 TB for 9.99 euros
• 10 TB for 99.99 euros
• 20 TB for 199.99 euros
• 30 TB for 299.99 euros

The free offer with 15GB of storage therefore remains free and the main changes occur for 200GB offers whose price increases by a euro a month for twice the storage, 1TB goes to 2TB. same price and the old 2TB offer disappears completely at €19.99. For offers of 10 TB and above, nothing has changed for now.

Google One: new benefits for paying subscribers

Google offers new benefits with a Google One subscription. In fact, the firm claims that this is just the beginning and that new benefits will be added in the next few months. Therefore, when you switch to Google One, you will have the following rights:

• Personalized support from experts
• Credits to spend on Google Play Store
• Coupons, discounts and coupons for selected hotels found with Google Search

Paid Google Drive customers will be automatically migrated to Google One

Google One will eventually completely replace Google Drive. All paying customers of Google Drive will therefore migrate to Google One in the coming months, with priority given to customers in the US. Thus, customers with the cheapest offer will have to pay an extra euro to take advantage of the 200GB offer, or they can revert to the free offer if they wish. 1TB customers will benefit from 2TB without it specifically. Customers with 2TB will get the same storage, but for just €9.99. Finally, nothing changes for 10, 20 and 30 TB customers.

If you’re a paid Google Drive customer, the firm should send you an email soon to detail what changes compared to your current subscription. Currently, the move to Google One does not affect paid G Suite customers who can continue to use Google Drive.
