Google Maps now shows vaccination centers in France

Google Maps is introducing a new feature that is very useful if you can get vaccinated. It is now possible to search for centers closest to you directly within the app. This feature was already available in the US and now deployed in France.

When you make a query such as “COVID vaccine near me”, Vaccination centers around you appear on the map. This thing works in Google Maps, it also works in the Google app. The tabs also display certain information, such as whether an appointment is required and opening hours.

Other data is presented in tabs when searched, for example: the category of population eligible for the vaccine, known side effects, Covid statistics or news about the vaccine. Note that all data displayed by Google comes from the French government and can also be found at data.gouv.
