The Google Camera app is regularly appreciated by its fans for its quality. Just last year, the Android 7.0 Nougat update that was announced excited Android smartphone users. It is also the application that we found on the famous Google Pixel and its future second version, as well as on Nexus smartphones, thanks to which it can save images in RAW or JPG format.
However, one important function of the app was still reserved for smartphones with the Google stamp: HDR+ image processing process, it manages to reduce the noise of the photos by combining several underexposed photos. This feature has been made available thanks to a Ukrainian developer who loves Battlestar Galactica named BSG.
Google Camera: HDR+ available on smartphones equipped with Snapdragon 820,821 and 835
The BSG developer did indeed work on a copy of the Google app. He based himself version 4.4 of the application and a copy have been created this time it includes Google’s famous HDR+ image processing. Unfortunately, not all Android smartphones are compatible. You must have it to take advantage of it. A device with Snapdragon 820,821 and 835 processors.
Which devices are compatible? The app has been tested by XDA experts. on the following smartphones: Galaxy S8, OnePlus 3/3T, LG G6 and OnePlus 5. The software was also checked and no traces of malware were detected.
