The worst feeling is knowing that we have ruined the time a player spends on our game.

The team hopes that now that this issue has been resolved, players will try Pop the Lock one more time, and they promise to guarantee it won’t happen again.

Open Locked Ads Doesn’t Open Anymore

Because Pop the Lock is free to play and has no in-app purchases, the company relies on ads to pay the bills. Literally, this is how Team Simple Machine pays the people who make Pop the Lock and keep adding features and fixes.

In previous versions, pop-up ads ruined the experience, causing many players to accidentally click on the ads. The team doesn’t like to ruin the experience and says:

With Pop the Lock, we’ve learned that pop-up interstitials don’t serve you fairly, and many of you tap on them by mistake. We’re not that kind of company and we don’t want you to feel that way in our game, so we’ve removed them entirely.

In the game, there are still banner ads under each puzzle, but there will be no pop-up interstitials anymore.

There is no official Pop the Lock Android version. We found a link to a Pop the Lock game that is no longer available on Google Play and apparently from a different publisher.

Unlock Tips

One of the best Pop the Lock tips is to tap the screen on the side of the lock. You don’t need to touch the middle of the lock to register the touch. By touching the edge of the screen, you can keep the lock area open so that nothing is blocking your view.

You should also focus on the entire ring instead of just the next area you have to tap. This allows you to plan better in advance to progress faster and move forward more easily.
