Facebook finally lets users choose what they want to see in their News Feed

Facebook Personal Data

Scrolling through your Facebook news feed isn’t always easy. The network has been around for over a decade and has expanded with a number of features and individual users are often mixed into brand and media audiences has taken over the territory. As a result, many people complain of information overload, which often leads to the suppression of truly interesting content.

It looks like Facebook has heard the criticism, as it announced today that a new sorting feature is coming. The second one (finally) allows To view the latest content in your feed. With the recently introduced Favorites tool, you can also: see news from selected friends list first. This can be up to a maximum of 30. This content will continue to be mixed with other subscriptions.

Facebook is reorganizing its News Feed to provide more clarity

“The purpose of News Feed is to connect you to what matters to you: the people around you, interesting content, and the world around you.”Facebook says. “The friends you add, the Pages you like, the groups you join, and the content you engage with shape your News Feed every day.”

The sorting options are already available on the Android app and are expected to arrive on the web and iOS versions in the coming weeks. Facebook also took the opportunity to introduce its new measures to strengthen moderation. Just like TikTok did a few months ago, the social network is offering the ability to:Choose who can comment on your posts. This is very poor progress when we know that it is possible to call for someone’s death with complete impunity.
