9 Best PicsArt Filters, Effects and Tips to Improve Your Picture Editing Game

There are very few image editing apps that manage to grab the attention of their audience like PicsArt has done in recent years. This little app has been outstanding as it combines excellent image editing tools with equally awesome filters and effects. This set of tools and filters is enough to change the overall look of an image.

To apply Glitch, open the image and tap one of the Glitch filters under Fltr.

If you are happy with the look of the filter, tap the Filter Button once more to adjust the horizontal and vertical scrolling.

2. VHS – Take a Step Back

Another filter I like is the VHS filter. This gives your picture a retro look. As you might expect, they look straight from the early 90’s.

It’s gold for the ’90s kid in me.

The VHS filter is located under the FLTR tab. And like the filter above, you can tweak the settings a bit. Want a little more noise? Drag the noise slider to the right.

3. Play with Focus Zoom

Background blur is a regular feature on most phones these days. Unlike the good old days, you don’t need to waste time in Snapseed to apply background blur to images.

Now the question is: how can you make the ‘blur’ effect stand out? How about applying the Focus Zoom effect?

This effect, often achieved with special lenses on DSLR cameras, gives a zoomed-in appearance only to images where the subject is in sharp focus.

With the PicsArt app, you simply go to Effects > Blur and swipe left horizontally until you find the effect in question.

The image will have a handy focus icon on it. You will have to drag it to the point you want to focus on.

After applying a filter, select the Eraser tool and tap the area where you don’t want the effect to be applied. Native, right?

5. Make a Cool Sticker

Yes, you read it right! With PicsArt you can make stickers from photos and pictures. And the best part is that the app is smart enough to set object boundaries on its own.

At the bottom are neat options like Person, Hair, and Background. You should choose one of them according to your needs.

To do this, select Cut and select your object. Selected objects are displayed in Red.

Tap Save after setting the edges and you’ll have a neat looking sticker.

6. Change Background

So you have created a sticker. What will happen now? For starters, you can choose to change the background of that image. There is so much you can do with this stylish feature, from changing the tone of the sky to a light pink or giving your furry friend’s photo an artistic background.

And yes, I forgot to add. Stickers are also great material for memes (**wink**).

Open a sticker from the Stickers tab to change the background. Next, tap on the Fit option. Pinch to adjust the size of the sticker.

Then select Background from the list of available images. The result looks scary, right?

The only thing you have to keep in mind is that you need to pay attention to the edges when choosing.

7. Play with the Color Curve

The color curve is one of the fundamentals of photography and represents the dark and light area of ​​an image. The top of the picture is for highlights. The middle part refers to the midtones. The bottom of the curve is for shadows.
