Android Messages: Soon you’ll be able to reply to your text messages from your computer

as revealed by rip off from the latest app update Android Messagesproduced by Our colleagues at Android Police, Google aims to revolutionize SMS sending on your Android smartphone. With the evolution of Google Messenger to Android Messages, Google is laying the groundwork for RCS, a new communication protocol aimed at replacing traditional SMS with a richer message delivery system.

Android Messages: Sending and receiving SMS via your computer is possible soon!

With this web interface currently being designed, Google will bring the traditional SMS Apps like WhatsApp, Skype or Facebook Messenger. In the future, Android Messages may encourage users to write text messages using the Wi-Fi network. The process is somewhat reminiscent of the famous iMessage available on iPhone and iPad.

With this in mind, Google will allow you to exchange SMS, MMS like pictures or videos directly from the Android Messages interface on your PC. To enable this option, go to the web address provided by Google and scan a QR code from the app. We would be surprised at the return of QR Code scanning, an aging technology, in a process intended to be modern.

Once this is done, the Android Messages web interface will communicate with your Android smartphone and every SMS received will be transferred to your computer. The process again resembles iOS. In addition to this new feature, Google may soon roll out in-app purchases. For now, we still don’t know what Google has in mind. If you don’t want to wait for Google’s goodwill, we suggest you explore our tutorial “Sending and receiving SMS via your computer with Android smartphone”.
