7 Reasons to Wait for Galaxy Note 7

There are many excellent smartphones out there right now for buyers, especially Android fans looking at older devices like the Galaxy S7, HTC 10, and even the Nexus 6P. Buyers are probably considering all their options, and with that in mind, here we go over the reasons to wait for the new Galaxy Note 7. A big one is the very early release date mentioned below.

Following a trend we all know, Samsung launched the impressive Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge in March, and an all-new and improved Galaxy Note 7 (skipping the Note 6) will arrive before summer ends. Rumors suggest that the new Note will be here sooner than ever and will have a lot to offer.

Technically the new Galaxy Note 7 is not official yet, but Samsung has confirmed that it will be called the Note 7 and will be announced on August 2. The numerous leaks over the past month paint a clear picture, and we’ll use them to explain why we believe it’s worth the wait. Not to mention that it’s better than the Galaxy S7.

There is no doubt that the Galaxy Note 7 will be the best model ever as it is the natural evolution of smartphones. But Samsung has made great strides this year in combining the best of both worlds with design materials and features, and it will be what complements their next phone. Improved Design and Image

First off, nothing has been remotely confirmed at this point, but based on past versions, rumors and leaked photos linked above we have a relatively good idea of ​​what’s to come.

For years the Note has been 5.7 inches with a beautiful 2k resolution display. This year, however, the Galaxy S7 Edge offers a curved 5.5-inch display that’s almost the same size. So Samsung will need enough to differentiate the two. The result is every report, leak, and rumor claiming that it will be about 5.8 inches, if not larger.

So the new Galaxy Note 7 could end up with a 5.8 inch 2560 x 1440 Quad-HD Super AMOLED Display. Just big enough to make a difference. The only downside, which may be positive for some, is that it will likely have a curved edge similar to the Galaxy S7 Edge. Rumors now say it will stay at 5.7 inches and only a curved model will arrive. We’ll have to wait and see.

We would have preferred both a flat and curved model, but this year Samsung may turn them all into one large tablet.

Samsung’s new smartphone will look very similar to last year’s model, with an improved and refined design made of all metal and glass. The Galaxy S6 and S7 are nearly identical and we expect the same later this year. Similar, but with improvements like water resistance, more durable, a micro SD slot and more. If you like the Note 4 or Note 5, Samsung’s next model should be even better.

Perhaps the biggest missing feature of last year was a micro SD slot for expanding storage. It’s something that almost all Samsung devices have offered for years. The Galaxy S6 and Note 5 only had 32GB of storage, which wasn’t enough for most. Samsung heard the cries and complaints loud and clear and returned it in 2016.

The new Galaxy Note for 2016 will likely come equipped with 64GB of internal storage and a micro SD slot for storage expansion. This will be crucial as users can add a 200GB micro SD card filled with everything they want.

Enhanced Camera

In our Galaxy S7 Edge review, we gave the smartphone high praise for the camera. In fact, it’s been called the best smartphone camera available all over the web. Samsung has downgraded from 16 megapixels to a new extremely capable 12 Dual Pixel lens.

The new camera on the Galaxy S7 will come to the Note 7 and it could be even better or offer more. One leak said 13 megapixels instead of 12 MP. An ultra-fast f/1.7 aperture camera that takes fast photos, autofocuses almost instantly using 95% more pixels to focus, offers dual-phase detection and a large sensor to capture more light faster. It means fast clear photos without blur or distortion, even in low-light conditions.

It has an excellent camera that consistently delivers great results, outperforms the iPhone, and will be in the new Note. That alone could make the Galaxy Note 7 worth buying.

IP68 Dust and Water Resistant

Another feature that many can look forward to is water resistance, a feature we’ve never had in a Note. The Galaxy S5 was rated IP67, but the new Galaxy S7 is rated IP68, which will stay submerged more than 5 feet for 30 minutes and come out well. Our own testing has proven it can handle accidental drops or spills.

Multiple sources claim that the Galaxy Note 7 will also have an IP68 rating. Delivering a huge, capable and powerful smartphone that won’t die if it gets wet is extremely important to many potential buyers.

Galaxy Note 7 Features and Performance

The current Galaxy Note 5 is still extremely powerful with a fast octa-core processor and 4GB of RAM, but the new model should be even better. It always arrives later in the year and has the latest and greatest technology from start to finish.

Pretty list, but everything mentioned above is pretty likely for the next Note. Samsung usually uses its own processors, adds more RAM, cutting edge technology and is slightly better than the Galaxy S in most areas.

Samsung has recently revealed 6GB RAM modules for smartphones that could launch in this smartphone. Work great on Android N with improved performance, better multitasking and dual window support. We’ve seen a benchmark with a new Note that only has 4GB, but we’re expecting exactly 6GB and a new USB Type-C port for charging.

Iris Scanner for Enhanced Security

Most phones these days have a fingerprint scanner for enhanced security, mobile payments and other things for locking method. The next step in this evolution is an Iris eye scanner that Samsung has apparently been working on for years.

It sounds like it’s straight out of a James Bond or Mission Impossible movie, but it will debut this summer. We’ve heard this is coming to the Galaxy S7, but that never happened. Then on May 25, Samsung launched its first device With an Iris Eye Scanner (a business or government tablet for India) for enhanced security, it could be a soft launch before integrating the technology into its upcoming phablet.

Last but not least, battery life and release date. Samsung made great progress in 2016 by delivering the best battery life of any Samsung smartphone to date. The Galaxy S7 Edge has a massive 3,600mAh battery compared to a small 2,550mAh battery in the Galaxy S6 in 2015.

Note could have been even better. The latest reports and rumors suggest it will have a massive 4,000mAh battery or possibly a 4,200mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 technology. Last year the Note 5 only had a 3,000mAh battery.

If this rumor is true, it will be the #1 selling point for myself and possibly many other potential buyers. Having a phone that lasts forever and can be charged 0-80% in 35 minutes or fully charged in just over 90 minutes with a new USB Type-C charging port. Sounds good, right?

As for the release date, August 2nd has been rumored as a launch for months, and Samsung confirmed it this week. The Note 7 will be unveiled in New York on August 2. However, several sources believe that August 2 will also be the release date. It’s available at launch and on the day it’s announced. If not, expect it to be ready in two weeks around August 15. So the wait is almost over.
