5 Reasons to Wait for the Nexus 5X

Here, in late September, buyers will have tons of options when it comes to their next Android smartphone. From the Galaxy S6, LG G4, Moto X Pure Edition to the larger Galaxy Note 5 or Nexus 6. But two brand new 2015 Nexus smartphones are expected to be announced next week, and here are a few reasons buyers should wait and consider the new Nexus 5X.

Earlier this week, Google confirmed that their company will be hosting an event in California on September 29 where we expect the new Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P to debut, and these are reportedly the official names. Presumably with the release of a new Google Chromecast, Nexus Player and Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

At this point, we know almost everything about the new LG Nexus 5X thanks to a series of leaks, and we have a good idea of what it has to offer against the competition. That said, things may change when it comes out, not to mention that today is iPhone day, but below are a few key reasons the Nexus 5X might be worth the wait.

Rumors were swirling all over the map about what was to come from Google this year, and we initially thought only one would be released. Low and voila, Google takes the same approach as Samsung and Apple. Launching two phones in two different sizes and price points to get as many buyers as possible.

And while we don’t know if they’ll be supported by carriers like last year’s Nexus 6, both phones will definitely be unlocked and will be able to work on most, if not all, of all major carriers in the United States. That means Verizon users can probably get one and enjoy all stock Android.

Without going into too much detail, here are a few key reasons why we think the new Nexus 5X should be a smartphone that all buyers consider before buying anything from Samsung, LG or even Motorola.
